to have and to hold

Spoiled. My baby is spoiled and so am I. I've had a mom or mom-in-law here nearly non-stop for the past 3 1/2 weeks. So, what do I get to do? I hold the baby. He loves to be held and I love to hold him. All day.

This morning when I woke up and looked at his sweet little face, he looked bigger. He grew overnight. And, it is all passing too quickly.

So, while I've read lots of inspiring New Years resolutions on the blogs of my friends (as I'm holding my baby), I can't seem to resolve to do much of anything besides enjoy him. 'Cause babies don't keep...

I am feeling that way too right now. My little one is 4 months old already and I am missing that newborn phase. Enjoy that sweet little one because you're right, babies don't keep :)

Oh, that sounds so fun!! My little one only lets me hold her when she's half asleep or sick. Not the same. And not very often! Enjoy that little guy!!

Now that is a resolution that should be easy to keep! I agree...hold hold hold because it goes way too fast!

My baby is turning ONE this week and he's far too busy to be snuggled by Mom. Sometimes I go get him out of the crib at night while he is sleeping so I can hold him still.

That time is PRICELESS! I'm so happy for you.

I totally agree. That is the best part about having a newborn. You just get to sit and hold and love and smell!!!

Seriously, they don't keep. You are a great Mom. And your kids are darling (I think I might kidnap Kate one of these days!!) so just keep doing what you're doing and remember - Little Ceasers has $5.00 Ready to go pizza. So have Chad stop on his way home from work and just keep snuggling that boy!!

I want to hold him too! Can't wait to see that boy. I heard you are coming to Utah in March? That will be fabulous. We miss you guys.

That is so fun that you could have time to just hold the new little one. I'm a little nervous about the three kids thing and being able to spend time with all of them. Tara

I am so glad you have had the help that allows you to sit and hold your new baby. You deserve it. You have so many friends, but add me to your blog list - I love to keep in touch with you! Lisa

The new born stage is gone before you know it. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm happy you're getting some quality time with your moms too.

You will never regret holding that baby as much as you can- it goes by too fast. Our babies are in nursery, the first year is one BIG blur! Enjoy every second, you are so lucky!
