Disclaimer: This is NOT a craft blog!
Just a few photos to document the project that has taken up the bulk of my summer. We are super excited to welcome our little baby girl home to share this new girly room with her big sis.
Baby girl's quilt (aka the easy one). Stripes and ruffles. Fun and fast!
Kate's quilt. Who's 'genius' idea was it to diamonds, anyway? Just FYI...I discovered that cutting and piecing diamonds is a LOT harder than squares. I had to consult my architect brother for help.
Seriously.
It's been a while since 9th grade geometry. Thanks for the diagram, Pres!
Ruffles...just to make it extra feminine!
a little embellishment on a clearance rack pillow
And, something to fly in the sky!Still left on the 'to-do' list:
paint crib
ruffle-up a crib bumper
turn clearance rack frame into magnet board
birth baby...

A-DORABLE! Yes, "birth baby" is sort of an important item on the list. But, at least when you get that accomplished you'll have a super cute place to bring her home to! You're amazing, Ade. Maybe this isn't a craft blog...but that doesn't mean you couldn't have one with all the creative things you make!
Coulda fooled me. That's amazing. I love everything you do. I think Mr. Kimble needs some puff balls above his bed...
You may not consider yourself crafty, but you sure have an eye for coordinating prints! Absolutely FABULOUS! I love, love, love the color scheme and the ruffles are to die for. I hope you wait to birth that baby until after tomorrow night.
P.S. Will you bring those blankets tomorrow night??? They definitely deserve a hands-on show-and-tell...
I'm way impressed!!
It's ridiculous how talented you are Ade, you amaze me! Everything is darling!
I will find that turquoise paint for you if you want! Um how do you spell turquoise?? oh and I love those quilts!
AMAZING...I love them. I couln't attempt squares or diamonds!!
So amazing! You KNOW I am beyond impressed because you've seen what I can do! :). Love the colors too.
Adorable!!! I LOVE the colors! I bet Kate is so excited to have such a cute room. Don't forget to let us know when you have the baby, I am thinking about you.
VERY impressive. you'll have to post pictures of the room when it's all done. i love the colors.
Absolutely adorable! I think you have every right to have a craft blog. Can't wait to hear that sweet little one has arrived!
so cool- love these!
SOSOSOSOSO cute! Pass that diagram on to me, I want to try some diamond patterns. I made some groovy quilt tops out of the sheets that I got from Grandma's Sister's Room when they moved to Kaysville (She may have sewed the sheets herself, they look homemade). They are from the 60's, and totally groovy. You would recognize them. I saved some pieces of the fabric in case any of the other girls wanted a bit of it.
Good job ADE! You are awesome.
You never cease to amaze me! So darling!
Looks so cute! Fun colors. I'm so excited for you!
