stop and sit,
think and pray,
as I spent a couple days in the hospital with my RSV-plagued baby. At first, I was full of worry and fear and frustration.
But, once I decided to focus, instead, on my blessings, my heart filled up with all I have to be grateful for:
*a sweet, beautiful, baby girl, who is {thankfully} getting better
*friends who just say, 'Yes' and 'whatever you need'
*a husband who can do it all
*my boy: who knew he would wake himself up, get his chores done, and make scrambled eggs for, breakfast all on his own?
*a caring girl who, whenever she had a chance, would call and ask how her baby was doing
*a flexible toddler (and the kind, kind souls who cared for him in his grouchiness)
*prayers from afar
*a surprise visitor
*words of a prophet, and extra time to read them
*a phone (and everyone on the other end who let me talk)
*an exceptionally caring nurse
*oxygen
*the miraculous ways a body can heal
*the blessing of just being able to
stop and sit,
think and pray,
and remember that I've been given oh, so much.

I'm so sorry you had to go through all of this, but what a wonderful way to look a the situation. She is so darling and I'm glad she is on the mend!
oh adri! we have that same picture of cat from two years ago. i am so glad she is doing better. what a great attitude you have of learning and growing through difficult experiences.

Oh, I hate being out of the loop. I didn't know this happened! I could have helped out, and it would have been nothing compared to all you've done for me in similar situations.
So glad she has her smile, and you are home. I've got lots of those orange wipes, to wipe away residue from the stickers, if you need them. My kids are on spring break this week. I can come help!
I'm so sorry I didn't know and couldn't help! I've been thinking about you a lot this week...maybe this is why! I also heard you've got a house plan! Fill me in when you have a chance?
I'm so sorry dear, I wish I was closer and could have helped. I'm so glad she's home.
Poor Lea. I didn't know this had happened, but I am glad to hear that she is home and wishing her (and her mommy) a speedy recovery. Hugs!
Oh, Adri, I am SO SORRY!!! I remember when Ashtyn had that. It is such a scary thing when they are so tiny. What a blessing it is to have modern medicine. I admire the way you can be so positive about things. Hope things are going well in CO!

Aw, I'm happy to hear Lea is doing so much better. I'm sure this was a scary time for your family. I'm with ya on the scout thing too. I guess I'm the one that hopefully will make scouts fun for you boy...!
I was so sorry to read that, but so glad that things are on the mend. She looks like such a sweet baby. What is this about house plans? Man, we need to catch up. Email or call sometime.
I'm so glad she's feeling better. I'm sorry that we don't live closer. Your cranky toddler and my cranky toddler could have hung out. :)
Oh, Ade! Add our prayers and thoughts to the mix. I hate RSv but I love all the wonderful things they can do now to help our little ones. Also- she is just beautiful!
