sailors take warning

Mom always used to quote the little poem...
Red skies at night, sailors delight;
Red skies at morning, sailors take warning.

This is what took my breath away this morning:

Tonight, the wind sounds like it is trying to blow my house down.
We were warned.

Ha! I haven't heard that before. But I walked out of Olive Garden tonight and nearly lost my doggie bag!

I still say that quote all the time & wondered if I remembered it correctly as I've never encountered someone else who's heard it before.

That rhyme always pops into my head with our sunrises and sunsets here! The wind was pretty fantastic last night!

Gotta love those Colorado sunrises and sunsets. Awesome picture! I too, love that poem. It is fun, and usually rings true.

Hey, I'm not THAT old, but it is an old phrase that remarkably comes true most days. Beautiful sky!
