letter to Grammy

Dear Grandma,

Momma wants to know if I can come visit you until the weather gets nice.  The house has requested a reprieve from my messy shenanigans, and because of the cold weather, I can't go outside to play.  Mom thinks it has been so long since your house sheltered a three-year-old, it might be ready to be, once again, covered in play-doh, marker, cracker crumbs, and copious piles of puzzles and books (some of which have ripped pages).

Can't wait to see you!
Doobie-Doo
P. S. Mom also says that while I'm visiting, it would be great if you could help me figure out the whole potty training stuff.  So, stock up on potty treats (I like M&Ms) and carpet cleaner...I'm not too good at making it in the bowl just yet.

Can Mary come too? Minus the potty training I'm pretty sure she could write the exact same letter to her Nana. In fact I'm sure of it considering she asks to go to her house EVERY DAY....no joke!

Oh man! Winter is tough with preschoolers, isn't it?! Thank goodness for playdough, squinkies, perler beads and books around here or I'd have two to ship off to Granny! We need some of this sun to get warm soon!!!!

I hope Grammy grants your request.

This post rang true to all of us out here with toddlers running the roost during the winter. He is such a cutie! Hope he can get to grandma's house.

Potty training is pretty frustrating. I LOVE being a mom & will someday miss having little ones, but I WON'T miss that aspect of it.

I really like your blog! It makes me miss your RS lessons... you have such great insights. I esp. liked reading the story of the broken ornaments.

It's fun to see & read about your cute family.

Loved this so much. It made me laugh, it made me feel sick at the thought of potty training Nate in three years, it made me want to send Ben to be Davis' buddy. Those boys would get along just fine!

Dear Davey Doo, Sure, come on over! If I only have ONE little ragamuffin to watch, we just might be able to carry it off! Of course, we'll have to get past Gramps! xoxoxox P.S. Maybe just postpone the potty thing indefinitely. You still have a little enough tush for the diapers! Kindergarten may be a trick, but hey, that's a long way off!
